Description Albert Astals Cid 2011-08-01 21:13:37 UTC
Version:           1.99.0
OS:                Linux

After starting kmail, selecting my inbox (that holds 14000 messages) takes 16 seconds until the list is usable (i.e. all messages have been "added" and "sorted"). This took no noticeable time in kmail1

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
* Open kmail
* Select a folder with 14000 messages
* Start timer
* Wait
* Stop timer

In case it matters i'm the message list settings i'm using classic, plain date view, least recent on the top, sorted by date

Expected Results:
Folders should be instantly populated like they were in kmail1

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.39-ARCH
Compiler: gcc

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.

I'm not going to open a new one, it already exists, and it's this one.
