Application minimized to taskbar that is highlighted

Description Silver Salonen 2011-08-01 20:08:07 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: Linux

Sometimes an application is highlighted on taskbar although it has had no events in it.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Click an application on the taskbar. Continuously :)

Actual Results:
Application gets minimized or raised with every click. When getting minimized, it sometimes (in 4 of 5 times) stayed highlighted as it had some unnoticed event.

Expected Results:
When getting minimized, the application should always be "shaded" (it's highly unlikely that it had events at the exact same moment I minimized it, and 5 times in a row like this).

can't reproduce (as with your other "click constantly" report); can you provide screenshots of the problem? or even a screencast?
Comment 2 Benni Hill 2011-08-02 13:50:59 UTC
I can reproduce this with applications from the systray (tried with kopete and nepomukcontroller).

1. Click on the kopete icon in the systray: Kopete will appear highlighted in the taskbar.

2. Click on kopete in the taskbar: It won't be highlighted any longer.

3. Move your mouse out of the kopete area of the task bar: It will be highlighted again.

Are you sure it's a duplicate? To my mind this is a bit other problem, but may very well be caused by the same thing.
