Backtrace for crash
There are several reports of this crash at on the Arch Linux forums [1]. I've noticed that it does not occur if I run kquitapp plasma-desktop ; plasma-desktop I've attached a backtrace produced from a clean user account and after compiling the qt, kdelibs and kdebase-workspace packages with debug enabled as well as a screenlog of running plasma-desktop and lauching desktop settings after running kquitapp plasma-desktop incase this contains any useful information. Log of correctly running plasma-desktop
I can also confirm this with archlinux. I can confirm this error. However, I realized that the error does not occur when switching to the "Search and Launch" activity and then switching back to my "default" activity first. It does not occur if I run kquitapp plasma-desktop ; plasma-desktop It does not occur if I enter to the netbook-desktop Any idea? I can no longer confirm this bug. What I recall that I changed since I last confirmed it: - Upgrading several (appearantly KDE-unreleated packages on my Arch-Box, including the Linux Kernel and nvidia-drivers) - Changed Appearance style from QtCurve to OxygenTransparent, along with icon set and color theme This bug is no longer reproducible. Closing, tanks Simon and Gerald for the follow-up! |
