Version:           4.7 (using KDE 4.7.0) 
OS:                Linux

After updating the system to the latest releases, the fonts just seemed to collapse to smaller ones on restat.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
simply update..

Actual Results:  
font 8 too small after installing and a restart

Expected Results:  
same font size

fonts respond in an intresting was!!! 
and puff... i cannot see the date any more :( :((  ..had just begun loviing it

and please make the activity bar the original semi... i just hate the square!!

what is the version of freetype? I remember seeing similar problem after upgrading to freetype2-2.4.6.

You may want do downgrade freetype to see whether this is really a KDE problem.
