Not able to install the software due to crash

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

Actual Results:  
not able to install software from cd

Expected Results:  
kde crashes while trying to install software

the software CD does not install reporting crashing KDE

Do you get the KDE Crash Handler dialog? Which program crashes? If the complete desktop disappears, it is usually the X server that crashes, not KDE. For more information, see http://techbase.kde.org/User:DarioAndres/How_to_provide_more_information_about_crash_reports
