Description Joseph Wenninger 2011-07-20 09:37:53 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.4)
OS: Linux

I'm using my notebook at the moment always connected to an external monitor. Every time I reboot I get the screen cloned on both monitors and the resultion for the notebooks built in display is set much too low. After changing the settings (external monitor left of internal and internal display being the primary) and choosing save as default it only works for this one session, next reboot -> everything gone again. (Note on the side, xrandr doesn't tell plasma to resize it's panel correctly, if the primary monitor changes from the large to small one -> panel far too wide -> outside of screen)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Save settings as default and reboot

Actual Results:
wrong "standard" settings applied

Expected Results:
Settings should be restored after reboot

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.38-2-amd64
Compiler: gcc

Are you sure you're not just experiencing #275360? Which system shell do you use?
