No application should resize the screen. This is out of bounds of an application. If the application requires a small resolution, you should run it in windowed mode. Apart from that: of course KWin has to ensure that the windows are not bigger than the screen. Because of that it is the expected and correct behavior to resize the too big Dolphin window. Ok it is a feature added sometime after version 4.2.2, fair enough. Can I change this bug report to a request for a check box option to turn this feature off somewhere in the in KDE control center? No, we would not implement such a feature. That just clutters the code, is difficult to maintain,
difficult to find and has a very limited usecase.
You seem to think that playing games is not a thing KDE users do. Why? I do it a lot, and the reported 'feature' of moving and resizing application windows can be EXTREMELY annoying. |
