Hi

I'm using Kubuntu 11.04 and experienced a small problem with VLC 1.1.x on KDE. In full screen mode, the VLC screen flickers when transparent control OSDs (KDE volume control, VLC progress bar) appear and/or disappear on the screen.
Reportedly, this seems to be a bug in KDE or in the Xorg driver.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install VLC on a KDE distribution
2. Open a video file with VLC
3. Switch to full screen mode
4. Change volume or use the VLC progress bar

Actual Results:
The screen flickers when control OSDs appear and/or disappear.

Expected Results:
No flickering at all.

almost certainly an x.org issue. definitely not a plasma issue. only kde software that could have any affect whatsoever is kwin and then only in compositing mode.
