Your KDE configuration is using the wrong NM backend, which is known to cause instability. Go to systemsettings -> Information Source. In "Network Management infrastructure" change the NM-0.9 priority to be higher than the NM-0.7 backend. If you prefer you can edit configuration file directly, its path is /usr/share/kde4/services/solidbackends/solid_networkmanager09.desktop. Change the number in line InitialPreference to be higher than the number in /usr/share/kde4/services/solidbackends/solid_networkmanager07.desktop, which is usually 100. This problem was fixed in June 3th. OpenSuse needs to update their Plasma NM snapshot. Sorry Vincent, but before closing bug like Luky Luke, you should realize that what you tell is just plain wrong. In system settings -> solid -> I've only NetworkManager 0.9 You can just verify with you own eyes in the attachement that follow or http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13333867/kde/PNM0.9x-kdebnc-276818.png Here the full list of my installed / related packages zypper se -si networkma Retrieving repository 'factory-mozilla' metadata [done] Building repository 'factory-mozilla' cache [done] Retrieving repository 'factory-security' metadata [done] Building repository 'factory-security' cache [done] Loading repository data... Just ask all the informations you need, and if you have fix it, thanks to give the git commit id so we will be able to check if that is or not applied on package we made at openSUSE. Proof of not using NM0.7
Who's Vicent? You could have added the package list from the begining, that would help. Anyway, I do not know what is causing this problem, it is intermitent and I have never faced it myself. That is not a good prognostic to when it will be solved. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 253889 *** *** Bug 279343 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
