What I was doing when the application crashed:
At the time, I was running Firefox and Thunderbird, while listening to a rather large mix-file on Realplayer. (Nne of these quit during the crash.) I have two desktops. I'd switched to the second and clicked my middle mouse button, (also a scroll wheel), to bring up a "post-it note" to keep a bit of text handy. Instead of opening a note, I got a meny asking if I wanted a note or Konqueror. (This had never hjappened before.) I selected a note. Instead of the familiar yellow window opening, I saw a crash alert. Plasmoid might have re-started before the crash handler gave me the option of re-starting it. That's pretty much it. I'm still using Karmic, (2.6.31-23-generic), with KDE 4.3.2 on an Athlon XP-M 1900+ system with 768MB of RAM, video through a GeForce FV5500 that might not be in use otherwise. (had trouble with drivers) Akonadi is off.
