Dump file for a whole session
In the dump you can see that the server complains about an Invalid request.
By the way, I'm using Forked Media Server: Version 0.16 JFYI: $HOME/.kde4/share/apps/amarok doesn't contain configuration files but the database, statistics, podcast subscriptions etc., you should not erase that without a previous backup, and there is no need to erase it. The config files are all in $HOME/.kde4/share/config/ I did a backup indeed, I just wanted to make a clean start anyway. Make sure the DAAP plugin is enabled first. You can find the plugin configuration in the configuration dialog. DAAP plugin is disabled by default. The plugin appears as enabled. And as network traffic dumps show, Amarok does actually comunicate with the daap server. Created attachment 61027 [details]

Using tangerine Amarok is able to gather the library but it fails in playing any file as it doesn't seem to send the Client-DAAP-Validation code. Dump attached in the next file

The server replies with a 403 error
There has been a lot of work on Amarok since 2.4.1, please test Amarok 2.6.90 aka 2.7 beta or Amarok 2.7, to be released in a few days. Any news on this? Closing for lack of feedback. Please feel free to reopen this if you can reproduce it with Amarok 2.7 or later. |
