When printing certain pdf's the generated jobs are over hundred MBs big, for test files and more detailed debug info see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/739233

We do use poppler for PDF "printing to PS", please open a bug against poppler bugzilla in bugs.freedesktop.org
