Thanks for the report, but I cannot reproduce the issue. The backtrace indicates that the URL-navigator (= the "breadcrumb" that shows the current URL) is involved. Could you please give more details how you did the drag & drop operation in detail? E.g. do you mean with "desktop" the folder named "Desktop" or the desktop on the screen? If it is the folder: Did you drop it to the URL-navigator? I was just able to reproduce it by dragging a shortcut for a VirtualBox virtual machine from the desktop folder accessed through the QuickAccess Browser (Kubuntu 11.04) and directly into the Plasma desktop. I'm confused: What do you mean with QuickAccess browser? Dolphin cannot crash if you drag & drop something from another application to the Plasma desktop...
My apologies, I got mixed up with a plasma crash I've had which had already been reported. I had the desktop folder open using Dolphin, I was trying to drag the shortcut to the plasma desktop when Dolphin crashed. I have just tried recreating this crash several times but without success. I'll keep trying and see if any particular action prior to drag\dropping the shortcut invokes this crash. Can be reopened if someone can still reproduce with Dolphin 17.12.2. |
