if I group e.g dolphin and konsole into one window and drag konsole into the left after reboot konsole tab will be on the right, isn't that sessions restore option suposed to remember things like that?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
group two windows into one, sort tabs by hand to non alphabetical order, reboot/relogin without closing, tabs will be sorted by name again

Expected Results:
isn't that session restore option supposed to remember things like that?

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 218116 ***
Comment 2 Thomas Lübking 2012-02-02 19:17:59 UTC
This is not a dupe - the other one is about aggressive tabbing, this is about the tab order not preserved across sessions, would require some session agnostic unique tagging, not that trivial.

Unfortunately the rework in decorations in KWin 5 resulted in the window tabbing feature to be lost. We still want to bring this feature back, but after several versions it still hasn't emerged yet. Given that I think it is time to adjust the status of this bug report. The new implementation would be different anyway and it's questionable whether this report would still apply to it.
