- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I killed kded4 (required kill -9, kill -15 did not stop kded4)
I restarted kded4 from a already-running terminal
I clicked on the "battery" icon in the sytsem notification area
plasma crashed

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
kded4 was taking up 100% cpu utilization (1 of 2 cores, bouncing betewen cores), but wouldn't respond to signals.  CPU spinup happened when internet connection died.

The crash can be reproduced some of the time.

looks similar to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=272446 which was closed. Perhaps this was fixed at the same time.

I saw that one when reporting mine, however the only programs I had open were yakuake and 2 konsole windows (skype and pidgin autostart, but were closed at the time, I believe).  I wasn't doing any size changes or closing those programs.

While the similarity is "a process was closed", the difference I saw was that kopote was a program inside kde, while kded4 is an integral part of KDE.

I have the latest packages from Ubuntu as of the date the report was filed, so don't know if the bug previously mentioned (from 1 month ago) is already in Kubuntu, so I don't know how to check if that fixes my problem. :/
