Description B.Kijasová 2011-05-28 11:40:35 UTC
Version: 2.0.2 (using KDE 4.6.3)
OS: Linux

Hi, my k3b doesn't extract first track from AudioCD, every time, if I extract to .ogg, it doesn't extract the first track on the CD. The first extracted song has then always size of 29B (according to Amarok and Dolphin) and it cannot be played. All CDs are OK of course and it does on 4 computers in my home.
Wierd workaround is to extract only the first track alone - then it is extracted without problems.
Sincerely
T.Kijas

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Extract some tracks from audio CD to .ogg.

Actual Results:
The first track is extracted to 29B file which cannot be played.

Expected Results:
To extract all of the tracks.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.38-8-generic
Compiler: cc

I can confirm this.
Archlinux
K3b 2.0.2
KDE 4.7.00
Re-ripping the track again solves the problem, but it consistently fails on the first track when doing a full pass on the CD. Could be spin up time for the drive?

I have had this issue since may of 2011 (k3b-2.0.2-r1).
Gentoo/Funtoo
k3b-2.0.2-r3
kde 4.6-4.9
My current work around is identical to the one posted by Mike.

This bug is still present in 4.10. I confirmed that it isn't a spin up time problem by ripping 2 CDs where the first track was >0. The track ripped first was fine, but the first track on each album was only 8.2 kB.

Do you guys still have this problem? I just put an audio cd in k3b, pressed extract audio with default params (ogg) and i got all the tracks out.
