Which browser? Firefox? Chromium? Opera? My apologies - firefox 3.6.17 - this also seems to be related to earlier problems with nvidia drivers vs kernel 2.6.34. I haven't tried with other browsers. What I know is that earlier versions of kernel 2.6.34 suffered from problems with kde periodically grinding to a halt (there is a long running bug report somewhere). Under k2.6.35 this was fixed and there were no ghosts. Under later versions of k2.6.34 the periodic freezes appear fixed but the ghost images are present for flash player. Suse 11.3 appears to be the common factor. Thanks for the update. I see nothing that would indicate there is a bug in KDE. Firefox isn't a KDE application to begin with. I would suggest to update to openSUSE 11.4, and if the problem persists, report to openSUSE bug tracker at https://bugzilla.novell.com/ or to the Mozilla Firefox bug tracker at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ This appears to be resolved in kde 4.6.0 |
