Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.3)
OS: Linux

The translation of the kwin notification is cut off, i.e. the user cannot read which keyboard shortcut he can use to enable the desktop effects again. See attached screenshot.

If this is not due to the translation but a plasma issue, please re-assign.

Reproducible: Always

I think that’s a Plasma issue.
When I generally changed the text “Akku-Ladestand” or “Batterie-Ladestand” to “Der Ladestand Ihres Akkus” suddenly the text “Der Ladestand Ihres Akkus hat einen kritischen Wert erreicht. Der Computer wird in ...“ (30 Sekunden in den Ruhezustand versetzt) was truncated (and still is)

Reassign to plasma notifications.
Comment 3 Myriam Schweingruber 2012-05-27 16:58:26 UTC
Is this still valid with KDE 4.8.3 or trunk?
Comment 4 Kai Uwe Broulik 2012-05-27 21:16:12 UTC
At least that performance check for KWin Compositing (ie. it turns off when the frame rate is too low) was dropped, I think? But the overall bug is still present.

Hello! Plasma 4 was replaced by Plasma 5 four years ago by the KDE community. In that time we have made great strides in stability and functionality. We are closing all Plasma 4 bugs as most of them are no longer applicable to the new frameworks Plasma 5 is built upon. If you could, please re-test with the latest version of Plasma 5, and submit a new bug to "plasmashell" if you continue to have an issue. Thank you!
