Rekonq used to remember the location where I saved the last file, but since I upgraded to 0.7.0 (via KUbuntu Natty), the dialog is always opened on the Desktop directory.

This is a problem, because I often save a number of related links into the same directory, and the new behaviour means that I have to retrace the same steps to get to the dialog I want.

You should find this fixed and improved (default download dir settings available) in rekonq 0.9
