Description Tom Kijas 2011-05-15 12:33:50 UTC
Version: 2.16 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

Hi, i opened and extracted file using Extract option in arc. Then I choosed folder, marked option "close after extraction" and extracted. Next time I opened another archive in ark, which contained 4 pictures and I wanted to extract them one by one just by dragging them to target directory and - ark used remembered settings from "Extract to..." and closed itself after first extracted picture.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
I opened and extracted file using Extract option in arc. Then I choosed folder, marked option "close after extraction" and extracted. Next time I opened another archive in ark, which contained 4 pictures and I wanted to extract them one by one just by dragging them to target directory and - ark used remembered settings from "Extract to..." and closed itself after first extracted picture.

Actual Results:
ark used remembered settings from "Extract to..." and closed itself after first extracted picture.

Expected Results:
I think this behaviour is wrong. It is OK that is remembers settings from "Extract to..." and if I will in future use it I should have e.g. "close ark after extraction" marked, but it is wrong idea to use it in the main window by dragging files in archive to extract. It just confuses people and make them angry.

Thanks.

I think it makes more sense to mark it as a duplicate, doing so.
