ODP showing the problem
Looping was fixed meanwhile and the linked doc doesn't overlap any longer. Attaching a new file that demonstrates that the problem is still present.

ODT that shows that oowriter is buggy too if it comes to overlapping lines :)
This ODT demonstrates that the problem is even more worse if the paragraph defines a background color. Aso the ODT shows that oowriter has a serious problm there too (the ODT was produced with oowriter btw - try to select the yellow line).
Case in comment #3 was fixed with commit d85d4aef446c9f8c3eb5b4ba9a6dd96c6e74ea55 . The case is comment #4 is still a valid bug. See also http://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/102100/ for an analysis and suggestion for a solution of the remaining problem. Ok it seems Writer draws all the backgrounds first and then the text in a second pass. Not sure it's worth the hazzle to try and fix this bug. After all overlapping lines are not really that smart a thing to do, especially not if they have background Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved. |
