Description illumilore 2011-05-06 04:25:12 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

Right after clicking submit bug report, the page that you are redirected to is the new bugs page, but the url in the location bar is https://bugs.kde.org/post_bug.cgi, which if bookmarked does not redirect to the posted bug. The url should match the bug report submitted, in the form of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=xxxxxx for consistency and so that users can bookmark their bugs more easily without having to click some link that redirects to the same site page to get the link.

Reproducible: Always

I don't believe there's any likelihood to acquire the requested behavior without going upstream.

Meanwhile, the post_bug.cgi page indicated does have a link in the upper left to the newly filed bug. Click on that first, then add bookmark, and you'll be in business.

I agree with Felix, we will not change this. This issue is not severe enough to deviate from the bugzilla version. It will cause trouble at each upgrade we would want to do. You should report this at the bugzilla developers.

Hope you understand. In any case, thanks for reporting this issue.

This was fixed with the kde site redesign. It automatically redirects you to the bug url. How can you call it wontfix if it has already been fixed?

Then why reopen it if it has been fixed ?
