OS: Linux

OwnCloud is a cool KDE technology designed for webhosting of files, sharing data, etc. It would be very useful for KDE's Dolphin to have Dropbox-like functionality to connect to OwnCloud.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
Set up OwnCloud server.

Actual Results:
Visit server in webbrowser to access files.

Expected Results:
It would be great for Dropbox-like syncing of data between central OwnCloud server, and various KDE desktops.

This may be two seperate wishes, one for OwnCloud to have this option, and the other Wish for Dolphin (and System Settings) to have a built-in client for the OwnCloud share (and perhaps for DropBox as well, plus other services if they exist and have clients that can be run).

A syncing client is being worked on for gsoc that will provide syncing between ownCloud and verious desktops.

As Robin said, a syncing client is being worked on for Google Summer of Code. This functionality isn’t possible with the file manager alone.
