It should be possible to change an account‘s online status from the accounts kcm. I get “Authentication failed” (since my password is not stored) and then I‘d like to just re-connect. I think it allows to connect from the settings menu after you entered the password but there should be a context menu or when clicking the online status on the right in the list to connect the respective account.

DrDanz has a patch that does this in a really nice way. 

Assigning this bug to him as he already has code, so no-one else works on it.

Do you want that patch in 0.5? Did we decide anything about the global status?

We decided not to for 0.5. What we have isn't very good, but at least it works.

DrDanz, can you push your code you wrote somewhere (anywhere; attachment here, reviewboard, git branch) to make sure it never gets lots.

AFAIK you didn't merge it till we had non-global presence elsewhere, and I think that still applies.
