Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

I have multiple mail IDs. So far, I was happy with my default ID. Now I need to be able to send by an alternate ID (I can receive correctly). When I send, the ID header is the default ID even though it is going to a different transport. I have changed the COMPOSER toolbar to add the "FROM" for the header. When invoked, it displays a blank ID Header - no selection of the various available IDs. I looked in the Handbook and can find no instruction on how to pre-populate and/or change to automatically to valid IDs.

Can you help? Or how to remove the default from the default ID?

Reproducible: Didn't try

Actual Results:
Send to valid transport with wrong ID header.

Not an issue. If you want to change the used identity when composing a message, use view/identity instead.

The 'From' field will change automatically when you switch the identity
