Description bill p. (aka google01103) 2011-04-02 13:13:19 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.1)
OS: Linux

Klipper should save contents between reboots. Klipper allows saving after "exit" which I assume is defined as closing of the app, but not between reboots.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
reboot

Actual Results:
empty clipboard

Expected Results:
populated clipboard

Not reproducible with kubuntu 11.04 with Version v0.9.7
Unter KDE 4.7.00 / kubuntu 10.10 Kde 4.6 and master + 4.7 compiled from sources.

My observation is also that the history is preserved between reboot. I'm using KDE 4.7.3

Works for me when using KDE SC 4.8 beta2. Feel free to reopen if it still happens in recent version .

still not working for me, running 4.8beta2 - should clarify, not that will make difference, but when I said reboot I meant restarting KDE which should be the same

"save clipboard contents on exit" is checked

just created and tested as new user and works as expected (yes, should have done this long time ago - sorry)

but doesn't on my account even though I removed killer rc file
