It appears that Plasma's folder view widget only supports displaying the files as icons.  It would be great if it also provided the same options to display files as Dolphin does, particularly the "details" mode or any other way to display a file as a small file type icon on the left while the file name is displayed in full on the right.

This feature isn't implemented in KDE 4.6.1
