Version:           1.13.6 (using KDE 4.6.0) 
OS:                Linux

Every KDE application has a command to tell about itself.  When KMail is run within Kontact, the stand-alone message viewer window promises to tell me about Kontact.  However, When I tell it to tell me about Kontact, it tells me about KMail instead.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Tell Kontact to display a mail message in a stand-alone window.
  2. Tell the message viewer window to tell you about Kontact.

Actual Results:  
  1. Kontact opens a new window and displays the message in it.
  2. About KMail

Expected Results:  
  2. About Kontact

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.37.1-1.2-desktop
Compiler: gcc

Workaround: tell Kontact (main window) to tell you about Kontact

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
