Description mikrephine 2011-03-26 18:04:10 UTC
Version: svn (using KDE 4.6.1)
OS: Linux

When drag-selecting a range of Auto-Filtered cells, hidden (filtered-out) cells are also selected.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create an empty spreadsheet.

2. In Column A, add the following cell data: 1, 2, 2, 3

3. Select all of Column A and hit the `Data->Filter->Auto Filter' menu item.

4. A drop-down appears at the top of Column A. Click it and filter the data so that 2's are hidden.

5. Select the entire column and copy it (Ctrl+C).

6. Paste the data in another spreadsheet.

Actual Results:
The 2's are copied along with the other data, even though the 2's were filtered out and hidden.

Expected Results:
The 2's should not be in the copied data. They should be part of the selection, because they were hidden.

Workaround: select each filtered cell manually by Ctrl+Clicking on it. But this is impractical for anything but the smallest spreadsheets.
