Shows the effect after pressing Meta+= only once
almost all effects are broken with zoom - it just does not work I read about this problem on your blog in the comments section just now. I wasn't aware it had been reported prior to 4.5 being released. Created attachment 82814 [details]
Patch to fix thumbnails/icons in present windows with opengl 2
Here is a small patch against 4.11.2 that fixes the text/icons in Present Windows when zoomed for the opengl 2 scene compositor. This also fixes similar zoom issues with the geometry plugin, and the show desktop plugin and basically any effects that use EffectFrame.
Submitted a review request for this one too. https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/113225/ This is fixed in the QML rewrite for Plasma 5.23! |
Created attachment 58362 [details] Present Windows broken after zooming more than once Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.1) OS: Linux When I zoom in on the desktop (Meta+=) then activate the Present Windows effect (Ctrl-F10), the window thumbnails are each individually zoomed, or gone, depending on the zoom level. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: * Enable Zoom and Present Windows effects. * Press Meta+= once or twice * Press Ctrl-F10 Actual Results: Window thumbnails are "broken." Please see attached screenshots. Expected Results: I think the desktop should be automatically zoomed out prior to presenting the windows, and zoomed back in afterward. nVidia GeForce 8600 GT w/ driver version 270.30 Xorg-server 1.10
