Running Mandriva 2010.2, Linux 2.6.38.1 (Compiled from source) and latest NVIdia drivers, I tried both NVIDIA-Linux-x86-260.19.44. and NVIDIA-Linux-x86-270.26. When composting is activated, doing an ALT TAB will cause kwin to crash.

it's _likely_ related to the lanczos filter, see the dupe (you can GUI disable it on 4.6 but have to add a blacklist entry for 4.5.x)
Because of the specific backtrace one can unfortunately not tell for sure.
