Each annotation opens in a default size, which is too large for most annotations that occur in practice. This obstructs larger portion of the page and usually requires the user to reposition and resize the annotation.

On expansion, each annotation should measure its string size and adjust the box size accordingly.

This is working as it should in the git HEAD. I can't say when it was fixed, but it's been done.

On my Okular, this does not work. All popup annotations always open same-sized annotation windows.

They also open always in the top left corner, even if they hide the annotation itself then.

Did it work in 2015?
