- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Launched amarok from kicker and a shell as well and both methods resulted in a crash. I had just updated akonadi from kubuntu's backports repo minutes previous to this.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
The splash screen launched, then the app window began to draw on screen slowly the exits.
 
- Custom settings of the application:
Other than my last.fm info, possibly a couple plugins can't remember

The crash can be reproduced every time.
