Description Todd 2011-03-21 06:49:34 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.1)
OS: Linux

It is nice that KDE remembers your passwords for luks encrypted partition. However, it adds a lot of unnecessary dialogs. When I click an encrypted partion with a saved password, I first get a dialog asking me to enter my kwallet password (even if my wallet is already open), then I get a password dialog for the partition, with the password already entered, then I get a second kwallet dialog asking me to enter my kwallet password again. If my wallet is open I shouldn't have to see any dialogs, it should just open.

If I choose not to save my password, I still get 2 dialogs. First I have to enter my kwallet password (even if my wallet is already open), then I have to enter my luks password.

Reproducible: Always

This is still present in 4.8.2.
Comment 2 Dawit Alemayehu 2013-06-19 11:15:06 UTC
Is this still an issue with more recent stable version of KDE, v4.10 or higher?
