- What is the version of your "dbus" package ? If it is 1.3.1 or earlier then it could be a dbus bug in some applications

Thanks for your fast reply.

This system has Debian "stable" which shows dbus as:
Version: 1.2.24-4

If I understand you correctly, I would be affected by this <= 1.3.1 bug. Correct?
