The ability to assign a window to activities is missing from the taskbar buttons. Just add the same menu as in the window titlebar context menu to the taskbar button context menu. (Probably it wouldn't even require new strings, so it could be added at any time!)

Is this still valid for KDE 4.8.3 or trunk?

Still not available in 4.8.3. I don't know about trunk.
