This is very tricky at the moment... It is planned in the longterm to use "ng-itemviews" based on QML that are probably (?) shipped with Qt 4.8 to do things like this. I did some tests with the new view-engine. Although animations can be done pretty fast with the new view-engine they decrease the performance for loading the new directory. Technically it would be possible now to do such a thing but based on the current feedback regarding other animations people are very sensible if an animation decreases the speed of their workflow... Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719 Reassigning back. This has to be implemented inside Dolphin (if at all). Given there have been no votes or comments, I suggest to close as WONTFIX. |
