Could you file a bug against gvim please? It means it is incorrectly setting the _NET_WM_PID property for the process. This window property should be set to the PID for the process. ok, did that now. Created attachment 57671 [details] screenshot of described processes Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux I have 2 gvim windows open. When I hit CTRL+ESC to get the process table or when I start ksysguard to see the same list, I get 4 entries about vim: 2 gvim which are really the still running processes, but I also get 2 which just show a vim icon, have a PID which does not exist, and belong to the "root, -1" user (but I started them as user koller) and with an "unknown" CPU% See attached screenshot. Reproducible: Always
