This appears to be a wider issue with stricter SSL validation. I have had similar problems since upgrading (loosely speaking!) to KDE 4.6 yesterday. (I wish I could go back to 3.5, but that's another story.) This is not Gentoo, but Fedora 14, with specific inclusion of the KDE repositories at a higher priority. kmail 1.13.6 now prompts on every poll/send to the company Exchange server because the SSL CN offered does not match the machine's internal hostname. Selecting the "continue" option works, but then selecting "forever" seems to be a complete waste of time, as I am prompted exactly the same, very next poll... Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback. Oh, yes. Thank you for the nudge. The big is indeed fixed. |
