Description Marc Schiffbauer 2011-02-19 16:42:42 UTC
Version: unspecified
OS: Linux

Situation:

* Let digikam scan your whole 50.000 pictures collection for faces
* This will last many hours if not days
* Within this time I may need the cpu power for something else but only for some minutes
* It would be great to have a "Pause" button on the dialog that turn pauses detection thread (SIGSTOP?) and then turn into a "Continue" button that will continue face detection (SIGCONT?)

Reproducible: Didn't try

Pause button must be an improvement to do in ProgressManager.

Note that if you cancel face management job and re-run it later, previous work are not lost, and face management will restart where you canceled.
