Description Jure Repinc 2011-02-18 14:54:32 UTC
Version: 1.5.0 (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

I'm using KMail and Akonadi from SVN/Git and the problem is that KMail keeps redownloading all the e-mails from POP3 server. It looks like messages don't get deleted from the server when downloading is finished. I've checked and the option to leave messages on server is disabled in POP3 server settings.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. setup an account to get messages from POP3 server, make sure the setting to leave e-mail on server is disabled
2. click button to chek mail
3. after mail is downloaded check the button again

Actual Results:
Already downloaded mail is downloaded again

Expected Results:
The already downloaded mail should not be downloaded again

Hi,

I'll probably have time to look at this next weekend during the PIM meeting, right now too busy.

Can you please provide me with the following in the meantime:
1) the output of Akonadi on the console, POP3 prints a lot there. You need to completely stop akonadi with "akonadictl stop" and then restart it with "akonadictl start" to see the output.

2) a wireshark log of the network traffic with your POP3 server (make sure to redact your password)
