Description Chris 2011-02-18 10:48:26 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

When in the System Settings (Input Devices/Keyboard) the option "NumLock On KDE Startup" is set to "Turn on" the "Up" Arrow Key is not working any longer. xev reports functionality, but nothing happens in KDE applications.

Further more the option "Leave unchanged" seems to be broken. In my appreciation it should persist the state of the NumLock key when logging off. So if I had NumLock turned on at KDE logout i assume that it is turned on when logging in again (and surely the other way around in case of NumLock turned off). Or am I misinterpreting this option?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
System Settings (Input Devices/Keyboard)
Set option "NumLock On KDE Startup" to "Turn on"

for the second case
System Settings (Input Devices/Keyboard)
Set option "NumLock On KDE Startup" to "Leave unchanged"

Actual Results:
"Up" key deactivated

Expected Results:
"Up" arrow key working as usual (it is not meant here the "Up" key when NumLock is off)

Can't reproduce using KDE SC 4.11 beta2. Please try recent release to see whether the problem still exits.
