Bug 265763

Summary: KDE logout creates errors in server, control logs

Description Will Stephenson 2011-02-08 06:11:35 UTC
Version: 1.5.0 (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

kdepim 4.4.10

After a logout with Kontact quit by session management, the self-test dialog is shown on next login, due to errors in the previous Akonadi server and control logs, which are only
"D-Bus session bus went down, quitting"
There are no other errors.

Either this should not be logged as an error if it happens during logout, or the fault is that Akonadi is taking too long to perform a session-managed quit and is still around when the bus goes down.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Configure an imap account in Kontact on a new user account, fetch mail once, logout. login again, observe scary self-test dialog

This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
