Sentry Crash Report:

Description André Fettouhi 2011-01-27 17:36:53 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

Just updated my Arch Linux 64 bit machine today with KDE to 4.6.0. Now all my folders with jpegs, pngs, and video files in them are missing previews on the folders. The files themselves generate previews just fine but nothing isd displayed on the folders in Dolphin (and the option is turned on). This worked fine in 4.5.x and earlier versions of KDE.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Dolphin
2. Look at folder containing video or picture files and see if thumbnails are shown on the folder

Actual Results:
No previews generated or only previews on few folders show (3 out of 200 folders)

Expected Results:
Previews show up/generate.

Had problems with video previews not showing up with KDE 4.5.x but jpegs etc. have always worked now nothing is working.

Problem/bug is still present in KDE 4.6.1.

Thanks for the report, but I cannot reproduce the issue here (4.6.0 and 4.6.1). Does it work if you create a new user? You could also try to remove your thumbnails cache by removing ~/.thumbnails but it's quite strange that the JPEGs get generated but not the directories although the option has been enabled.

I tried removing the cache and create a new user but the problem still exists :(. Isn't there a way to debug this?

Cannot reproduce with Dolphin 17.12.2, please open a new bug if you still experience the problem. Closing.
