The file /usr/share/kde4/apps/ksplash/Themes/Default/1280x1024/background.png is just 1278 x 1024 pixel big. Fixed it by scaling that image to 1280 x 1024

Bug appears in 4.6.1 again. It is simple to fix, why isn't it fixed in 4.6.1?

(1) I can confirm this bug with 4.6.1 

(2) The bug is still present in 4.6.2

Fixed: replaced the smaller background with the correct one.
