Description Alexander Stohr 2011-01-24 15:26:05 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: Linux

x11vnc server has an option to define some offscreen that will be used for
acceleration of the data transmission.

when running krdc in a window there will be most likely scrollbars
on the right and on the bottom. since the application does not make
the window wider when scrollbars are added the scollbars will overlap
with the displayed remote desktop contents. in the offscreen case there
will definitely always be a scrollbar on the right - but its not possible
to get rid of the scrollbar on the bottom because the application windows
cannot be resized to be wide enough to hold the full screen contents plus
the width of the vertical scroll bar. this should be fixed.

the command line for the server was:
x11vnc -rfbauth /home/cs/.vnc/passwd -display :0 -reopen -forever -ncache 10 -ncache_cr -noxdamage

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Alexander Stohr 2011-01-24 16:46:54 UTC
tried forced (apply now) window settings via the window title bar menu.

a hand tuned change of w/h values made the scrollbar on the bottom disappear
and the scrollbar on the right no longer covering the remote desktop image.

this was undone by a single resize attempt with the mouse grabbing the window border.
the only way to achieve the nice state again was setting it again in the same fashion as above.

ratio - the application code tolerates that size setting.
but the allowed and needed window dimensions arent set up automatically nor is the user allowed to tune them via the standard method using his mouse.

this should be fixable.
