Description Benedikt Bauer 2011-01-24 13:58:28 UTC
Version: 1.1 (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

On the summary page kontact shows in the upcoming events area the time until periodic events always measured in hours even if they are several days in the future. This leads to outputs like "96 hours 44 minutes away".
In contrary events that are not periodic, times longer than one day away are shown as "2 days" or so.

At least this does not affect usability or functionality, but it's annoying.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Also periodic events should be shown in days if they are more than one day away.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.35-24-generic
Compiler: cc

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
