Mandriva 2010.2 32 bit
kde 4.5.5
i use bluedevil 1.0.1

with dolphin
- i can explore the folder tree of my smartphone
- i can copy from and to my pc a picture or video
Comment 2 Philippe ROUBACH 2011-03-03 15:12:36 UTC
i tested the "import > import from a remote pc" via bluetooth.
it works well.

but i would prefer to import via "import > camera devices" because we have more functions (preprocessing) during loading

i created a VM with mageia2 alpha 2 according to test digikam 2.x but mageia does fails to start

i am waiting for mageia 2 beta 1
Comment 5 Philippe ROUBACH 2012-10-08 09:14:54 UTC
this bug is valid for 2.9.0

it is more handy having homogeneous method to import photos.

please include "import from a remote computer in import tool

thanks

note it's a pity because this summer the import tool had been rewritten !
Comment 6 Philippe ROUBACH 2014-01-11 11:26:51 UTC
opensuse 13.1 , kde 4.12 , digikam 3.5

still valid

please include the bluetooth import in the standard way to import
thus we benefit from features of the import tool : changing date , execute a script etc.

thanks

additional info :

today with bluetooth 3.0 high speed or 4.0 the throughput is equal to the one of usb 2

bluetooth is more handy than using an usb cable .

Just make the appimage file executable and execute it.

Comment 13 Philippe ROUBACH 2016-11-25 09:33:45 UTC
thanks i found a tutorial here
http://appimage.org/
Comment 14 Philippe ROUBACH 2016-11-25 11:36:35 UTC
the qt file manager of the appimage does not see the bluetooth obex access as kde dolphin.
Comment 15 Philippe ROUBACH 2016-11-25 11:55:27 UTC
for "add pictures" and "add folder" qt file manager is used instead of kde dolphin
thus
no access to bluetooth or kdeconnect access
Comment 16 Philippe ROUBACH 2016-11-25 12:00:29 UTC
digikam 5.2

"add pictures" uses dolphin thus we can access to bluedevil or kdeconnect object

"add folder" uses qt file manager thus we can't access to bluedevil or kdeconnect object
