Description Vivek Umasuthan 2011-01-14 16:23:24 UTC
Version: 1.0.0 (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux

My system-wide font is Century Schoolbook and the font size is 10. Because the text box where I type my messages is tiny, whenever I type a message the text seems to jump around as if the box is trying to adjust the text to its size. Also, if I try to set a custom font, the font does not change. I

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set system level font to Century Schoolbook, Size 10, Bold and try using the Chat Window in Kopete. The text will jump around.
2. In the chat window, go to 'Settings -> Configure... -> Contact List -> Colors & Fonts' and change the font and size. It won't change.

Expected Results:
I expect the textbox to adjust to whatever size my font is or atleast allow me to change the custom font so I can type my messages without the text going up and down.

Actually I was changing the fonts in the wrong menu. It should have been 'Settings -> Configure... -> Chat Window -> Colors & Fonts'. The problem goes away when my font is small enough.

The problem remains if my font is too large.

Tested on Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 (testing)
