Description Anders Lund 2011-01-10 22:53:05 UTC
Version: 1.13.5
OS: Linux

Closing a non-modal kmail dialog - fx the one reporting that imap timed out, or a composer window, moves input the focus to the kmail mailwindow even if it is not in front. When pressing c-q to close the now in front window, kmail is closed instead. The browser window will still have a titlebar indicating it is the active window, but it is not.

This may be a kwin issue. I'm using qtcurve window decoration.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
click a mailto: link in a webpage
close the composer window
press ctrl + q

Actual Results:
kmail close

Expected Results:
the browser window close

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.36-ARCH
Compiler: gcc

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
